I concurr. EFI is for anyone who a) doesn't know how to tune carb jets
b) doesn't have the time/resources to tune carb jets c) wants good gas
mileage d) doesn't want to deal with picky carbs e) wants the engine to
start without pumping the pedal several to many times f) wants decent
emissions g) is doing a motor swap into something that needs EFI to pass
inspection h) all of the above :)

Seriously, my project is a single seater car with a CBR 600F2 engine. I
could have bought a set of good carbs for $35 off Ebay, but then I'd get
a cross look from the BAR guy when I go to get it inspected. Also, I
expect to get better mileage from EFI than the carbs would.

I'm in CA, so carbs are a 4 letter word (carburator, CARB [air resource
board], etc).

You shouldn't knock EFI because you can put a whistlin' bottle on your
engine for cheap. EFI is superior to carbs in every but one way, price.
Then of course if you look at the cost of a carb manifold and whistler',
EFI can be cheaper (figure $650 for a carb/manifold).

Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety
deserve neither liberty or safety. Nor, are they likely to end up with either.
