You will always get cases where you don't 'need' boost, but the turbine =
has spooled anyway so in a blow through you may have 10PSI before the =
throttle and less than atmo after it. In this case you are adding heat =
unecessarily to the incoming air.=20

It's the sort of area where the VATN approach makes a lot of sense, but =
the compressor maps for those never seem to have quite the efficiency =
that a good 'regular' turbo has.=20
