Now that you mention it...

I borrowed these images off the net, since I don't
have access to my "snapshots" right now.  ISTR the
ones I was actually looking at on the 'scope displayed
the characteristics you described.

The website that owns the above image claims that it
is an actually-recorded waveform from a p&h
driver/injector combination.
