[Diy_efi] alt turbo fuel

There is an SAE paper on the Honda turbo fuel. It was 70-80% Toluene (paint
solvent had at a good paint store). Problem is it does not cold start well,
and has to be preheated to 170°F to get good atomization per the article.
According to other research, above 40% Toluene, cold start characteristics
can suffer. Most race gas has some Toluene or Xylene in it. About 15-20%
on the racy stuff.

You mean the rocket fuel. Lots of Toluene. Search the archives I think there
is a reference to the manufacturer.

My dim memory says that it was made from coal and used during WW2
originally, but I could be very wrond

Does anyone know anything about the emulsion fuel used during the turbo F1
era?
I think Ferrari or Porsche used it before a rule change made it illegal.
