The stuff Sagem uses is particularly nasty.  The white
foamlike stuff, yes?

Soaking the ECU in acetone for several days makes it a
lot easier to pick the stuff off the board, but will
soften the board as well, so use care.

I'm not sure what you are hoping to find in there, as
most of the ICs are ASICs, made specially for the ECU
manufacturer, and are not available to anyone else.
