OK, thanks for that...
Makes things a little clearer.

Unless the 5L has an throttle body that can house the injector(s) or the OP
can get a throttle body that will fit and can house the injector(s), it
would be much more challenging.
If the OP has the ability to do machining work then he could possibly modify
the throttle body (or intake plenum etc) to mount an injector (or several)
in there.

I'd say the 4.3 is the volume (in L's) which means that it's probably a 4.3L
v6/v8
