Well, it looks like the Latent Heat of Vaporization @ b.p. is 101.76 cal/g.
30,000 BTU's is about 7.6Mcal so you would need to vapourize about 75 kg of
propane to absorb that much energy. Unless I'm wrong. Thermo was never my
best subject.

As a side note, the converter I used says that 30,000 BTU is equivalent to
6.9kg of TNT.
