Not to mention the larger Griffon, and MANY others---

Alky and H2O BOTH have good effects. The H2O is a more effective internal
coolant than the alky (about twice the latent heat of vap of methanol and
triple ethanol), but also catalyzes and stabilizes the combustion in
several ways.

The water definitely dissociates and then re-associates during the
combustion process.
