The pump has nothing to do with the pressure (unless it's for a carb)
that's the job of the regulator.
The E2000 or E2182 Masters pump will max out about 90-95 psi. But that
means nothing if it only has to run at 12-14 psi on your TBI system.
It will work fine all day long. Been running several for almost 2 years
now.

Question

What is the fuel PSI with the Ford pump?

I plan to put a 4.3L TBI (1227747) onto a Jeep 4.2L. I have a parts
vehicle, but still need an external fuel pump. Think the Ford will work?

A good cheap fix for a fuel pump is a Ford truck frame rail pump (not
the tank pump). They were used in the late 80's and early 90's. Cheap
and durable! Cut the tubing long and use the Ford connectors and pump
brackets. I slipped my OEM fuel line and filter over the Ford stubs and
welded them together. It was probably the easiest part of the swap.
I'm using stock 3/8 and 5/16 lines. I don't have any fuel delivery
issues at all.

I swapped a 90 camaro (730) into a 72 GMC 1/2 ton. My TPI was
originally a MAF system from a late 80's camaro. Changing the harness
around from MAF to speed density is possible, but it takes a bit of
work.

Hopes this helps.

Hey, a local guy!
I'm new at this, too, and can't help at all on the drivetrain stuff, but
here's what I'm dealing with on my swap (7730 + TPI -> 340 + 69 Plymouth
Valiant):
Fuel delivery - seems that even a 5/16" line is OK for a return line,
I'm
going to 3/8" on the feed. If you've already got a 3/8" feed, you're
probably OK to use that as the feed unless you just want to have a
larger
line. I'm planning on using the aluminum tubing from Summit/Jegs and
some
AN adapters.
Fuel pump - The pump I have is a NAPA part, if I recall. I suspect it's
actually a reboxed Walbro or something. Here's another local (Garland)
guy
that sells fuel system parts:
http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/
NOTE: you didn't mention it, but you'll probably have some fuel delivery
problems at low fuel levels in your stock tank if you're not planning
on!
some sort of sump or surge tank. Even some fuel cells have this problem.
There isn't any reservoir in EFI like there is in a carb (bowls), so if
the
pressure pump sucks air, it's not pushing anything until it recovers.
I'm
looking at a couple different types of surge tanks. Check the previous
posts for the last few weeks for details.
Harness - I'd like to know if there's an adapter for the Vette box, too.
I'll be mounting mine inside the car, but would like to be able to mount
it
in the engine bay. Not a big deal, I'm running out of space up there
quickly.
Hope that's some help,

but
here's what I'm dealing with on my swap (7730 + TPI -> 340 + 69 =
Plymouth
Valiant):
Fuel delivery - seems that even a 5/16" line is OK for a return =
line, I'm
going to 3/8" on the feed. If you've already got a 3/8" feed, =
you're
probably OK to use that as the feed unless you just want to have a =
larger
line. I'm planning on using the aluminum tubing from Summit/Jegs and =
some
AN adapters.
Fuel pump - The pump I have is a NAPA part, if I recall. I suspect =
it's
actually a reboxed Walbro or something. Here's another local (Garland) =
guy
that sells fuel system parts:
http://www.autoperformanceengineering.com/
NOTE: you didn't mention it, but you'll probably have some fuel =
delivery
problems at low fuel levels in your stock tank if you're not planning =
on!
some sort of sump or surge tank. Even some fuel cells have this =
problem.
There isn't any reservoir in EFI like there is in a carb (bowls), so if =
the
pressure pump sucks air, it's not pushing anything until it recovers. =
I'm
looking at a couple different types of surge tanks. Check the =
previous
posts for the last few weeks for details.
Harness - I'd like to know if there's an adapter for the Vette box, =
too.
I'll be mounting mine inside the car, but would like to be able to mount =
it
in the engine bay. Not a big deal, I'm running out of space up there
quickly.
Hope that's some help,
Subject: [Diy_efi] conversion questions

> Hi, I am new to the list, and am putting a 91 Vette engine =
(complete)
> into a 67 Camaro. I need s! ome advice on what all I need to do =
this.
> Here's my thinking, please giveme pointers (either links to =
projects or
> reply).
>
> Fuel delivery - I plan to put a 69 Camaro sending unit in my stock =
tank
> that has a return line, plumb 7/16 line from tank to EFI, and use =
stock
> 3/8 as return.
>
> Fuel pump - need to know what reccommendations there are for =
inline
> pump.
>
> Harness - what models o F_body work for the 91 Vette setup? I have =
seen
> 87 TPI MAF setup, but understand it wont work - what is =
reccommendation
> here? New Aftermarket units are out of my budget.
>
> Computer - I'd like to use the 727 Vette unit, are connectors that =
go on
> the 730 compatible, what changes are required to adapt?
>
> Throttle linkage - cabled from later model or Camaro 6-cyl =
(available
> new)
>
> ENgine relates - I know, this is the EFIlist, but some have =
addressed<B! R>>
this I'm sure -
>
> I am planning to use the stock 91 vete flywheel with my orig muncie =
and
> bell housing - what is required to adapt the original style to the =
later
> model flywheel / one piece rear seal? Can I use original style =
10-1/2
> clutch?
>
> Thanks for any help in advance.
