[Diy_efi] Hydrogen Powered Vehicle

Propane is best used in a combustion engine, hydrogen is best used in a fuel
cell to convert to electricity which then drives electrical motors.

Combustion engines generally only release about 20% of the heat energy of a
fuel into reciprocating energy for use in moving the car. A fuel cell is
currently around 60% efficient in converting that same energy into
electrical energy which can then drive an 80% efficient motor. 48% total
efficiency.
That's more the way to go.... Just not for an end-user conversion. It would
take large amounts of design work to complete the conversion and just
wouldn't be feasible for a consumer to do directly.

I'm surprised in the US that you guys even care about the pollution
factor... After all it is the country of SUV's. How many people that buy
SUV's actually use them in any kind of off-road pursuits?
Why buy one otherwise? Why not get a suitably sized mini-van?
