[Diy_efi] GM ESC for knock detection

All,

Sorry if this is a repeat, I'm a new (re-)subscriber.  I'm thinking of
adding a GM ESC and piezo to my BMW M10 engine.  I'm controlling fuel and
spark with a MegaSquirt (+ Ford EDIS) and would appreciate any feedback
anyone has on the GM bits with a non-GM engine.

I was planning on using four levels of spark retard (depending on how many
knock events are detected), does anyone have experiences to share that would
indicate more (or fewer) control levels?
