Maybe you could use the dampers found on the old Bosch k/ke-jetronic (CIS or
CISe). Depending on the version they hold 20 or 40 cm3, and keep a pressure
of 2.4 or 3 bar.
I guess you can get them easily and very cheap from junkyards.
