Well Jon,
My Jaguar runs 12.5:1 without any hint of pinging / detonation at any time.
Maybe 10:1 is impressive in USA where lower grade gas is the norm, but over
here in Europe 10:1 is old hat. Many light pressure turbo engines run with a
base cr of 10 or thereabouts. I wish you luck with your project though.
