Hi,
I have just started examinate spark advance on 747 TBI, and got a
bit confused:
-In the constants table there are four (at least,
withTunerCat...in Tunerpro I found more) entrys dealing with spark
advance:
-"Main Spark Bias" (is 9.8deg stock)
-"Initial Spark
Advance" (0 deg) -This one I understand
-"Extended Spark RPM Slope" In
TunerPro there?s a note:" strts 3600) I guess that means "starts at
3600RPM" (5.1 Deg/1K)
-"Max RPM for Extended RPM Spark" (4200RPM)
Then we have the tables for Spark:
-Main Spark Table
-Cool
compensation Spark Advance
-PE, Added Spark in WOT
and some other for
EGR and so...
To the questions:
1. If I want to find out the actual
timing advance, let?s say in WOT at 4200RPM, I guess I must calculate
something like:"Main Spark Table" + "Pe Added Spark in WOT" + "Extended
spark" from the Constants?
In my case: 3600RPM/100Kpa (from "Main Spark
Table"): 16.2
"PE, Added Spark in WOT":(3600) 7.0
"Extended Spark RPM
Slope":4200-3600=600, gives 5.1*0.6=3.06
16.2+7+3.06=26.26?
Correct?
2. I dont have the EGR valve or the knock sensor (right now) connected,
I guess I should "zero" all tables and constants dealing with these,
not just uncheck them in the "ECM switch table"?
3. As stated earlier,
"TunerPro" seem to have more tables and constants compared to
"TunerCat", how?s that?
