Is this six all aluminum?  Just thinking about weight.
The AL-head LR4 4.8 V8 from the LS1 family (read 'great breather") 
was
being sold by a detroit some liquidators for $1200-ish. MV

Yes, All Aluminum, lost foam casting for Ultra-Lite weight,
DOHC with the 2006 version 10.3 to 1 and 290HP.

I've never seen such Documentation on an Engine by anyone ever
as on the GM Media files for the 4200.

It is understandable tho, as you must have guessed by now, 
the very First Corvette Engine was 'The Blue Flame Six' .
