I don't know about your particular ECU, but that is
typically how it is done -- key-on runs the fuel pump
for a set amount of time and then stops. If there is
a variable somewhere that the ECU "looks up", then it
should be simple to increase the time period during
which the pump runs.
Doesn't the pump come back on during cranking and
raise the rail pressure again, though?
