As you are probably aware, the C3 1227747 is the truck version of the 
1228746 ECM.  These are for V8 TBI applications.  AFAIK... there are
no underhood (weatherproof) versions of any V8 TBI ECM.

Reference post in archives (GMECM ?) is dated appr. 7-15-04.

  ready to do a EFI TBI swap on my Internation Scout II, and don't like
  punching holes in firewall for harness plugs, Id rather mount it in the eng 
  bay like I did on my Grand Am....
