GM uses 'riv-nuts'. You should be able to get these at any major nut/bolt supplier. It is a threaded collapsable rivet. You put it in the hole, take the inserting bolt slide on a non-threaded jam nut then a star washer. You screw that into the the riv-nut, hold the jam nut with a wrench and tighten the inserting bolt causing the riv-nut to collapse vertically and expand horizontally. Use some ultra-grey before inserting the riv-nut.   Ski
