Fw: [Diy_efi] EFI bug

I have a VN/VP factory workshop manual that explains this stuff in =
detail.
I could scan a few pages if you think it will help you?
The 3X slots are asymmetric - 1 is 10deg, the next is 20 and other is =
30.
This means that during the first (10 deg) 3X 'window' there is 1 18X
transition, during the second there are 2 18X transitions, and 3 in the
third. This is how the coils are sequenced. Note however, that this is
only important during startup - once the engine runs, the coils are just
fired round-robin.
AFAIK, You cannot 'fool' this module to run 4 cyl - it will spend a =
1/3rd of
it's time firing the third coil even if it isn't there, no matter how =
you
clock it.
Cheers, HTH

if you have a close look at the spacing of th 18x and th 3x on the =
balancer=20
you will see that they are not in the same place ...ie 120 apart. this =
is
how=20
the dif module knows which cyl or in a v6 which pair of cylinders (being
waste=20
spark and all)
hope this helps
