Well my 7747 based TBI system is all installed. Nice neat install. =
Modified oem harness. All conections crimped, soldered, shrink tubed. I =
am not a novice with wiring but this is my first TBI converstion to an =
older car. Hit the key and naturally no start.=20
Checking some voltages from the ECM, it seems that most of the leads =
that are supposed to have voltages under 12v with the key on do not. =
Example:=20
A4 9V-not, actual 0V
A8 2-5V, actual .6V=20
A9 5V, actual .6V
C10 1.9V, actual .6V
C11 4.9V, actual 0V =20
C13 .6V, actual 0V
B1 12V, actual .2V [Fuel pump system removed]
B5 9V, actual .1V
B7 9V, actual 8.6V
Injector leads full time 12V with key on from remote additional =
[relayed] fuse box on fire wall that powers entire system. HEI power, =
ECM power A5. [are there any other power leads to the ECM?]
Fuel pump [toggle switched] is a Ford frame mount 95psi to a modified =
pressure reg, shows 15psi on guage. =20
The changes I have made were: Un-pin and remove all fuel pump related =
circuits and EGR related.Park/Neutral lead grounded to chassis. ECM case =
not grounded to chassis. Have spark. Seems no fuel spray.
Pour gas in TB and tries to start.
The car is in a cold garage, Fully charged batt but alternator removed =
for service. Because of ambient temp the eng spins a little slow on the =
starter but not bad. =20
On further trouble shooting I jumped "A" & "B" on the "aldl". No codes =
at all.=20
Help please. Hope there is enough info for some advanced guy to help me.
Thanks, Frank.
