Duty cycle does not vary with engine rpm like dwell
angle requirements do.  It is a measure of the
percentage of time the injector is energized; 100%
duty cycle is fully open all the time, and 0% is
closed all the time.  50% is open half the time,
although there is lag in opening and closing the
pintle, so actual fuel flow is slightly different than
half of the 100% duty cycle rate.  If you wanted the
engine to receive a quantity of fuel that increased
linearly with engine speed, then the percentage of
duty cycle would also increase linearly, in time with
engine rpm.
