Check to see if your truck has a speed sensor in the back of its 
speedometer. I believe it was originally used for cruise control and 
there should be a buffer of some sort hanging off the rear of the 
speedo. I am putting a TPI ('87 Camaro/Firebird) on my '85 Suburban 5.7 
engine and  have determined there is a buffer on the speedo but I have 
no idea what the pulse rate output is. Anyone know?
