Or other box that you can't easily pour oil into, so you end up using a
channel?  Your local boat/marine dealer probably has a slick little pump
for pumping gear oil into outdrives.  It threads onto the bottle and has
about a foot of hose attached.  Fits motor oil and transmission fluid
bottles perfectly.  Mine is made by Mercury.
