somewhere on your machine there should be a small sticker that says 
"Propane Eqivalency Factor = .xx" or "Propane Coefficient = .xx" or 
something similar. The propane content of your test gas should be 
multiplied by this number to get the calibration value you would expect 
to read. In other words if the factor is .81 and your test gas is 600ppm 
propane, you should calibrate your machine to read 486ppm HC.
