Hey guys,
Mitsubishi MAFs put out a TTL level frequency that is dependant on air mass
drawn through the MAF. It's almost completely linear, meaning twice the load
or twice the revs and the frequency will double, too. I think that will make
things easier than using a MAP sensor. But bear in mind that those MAFs pose
a restriction to the engine's intake and you cannot use Mitsubishi's MAFs in
a blow-through setup because of their construction (Karmann-vortex). OTOH,
you can easily monitor the amount of air going through the engine because
the frequencies of the MAF are audible, approximately 25-40 Hz at idle and
up to 2500 Hz or even more under very high boost at WOT and umpteenth revs.
