Thanks for the summary regarding the 555-based injection.

I think it was John smith who was looking for the MAP that would read 
pressure higher than atmospheric- 

Besides the obvious GM supercharged/turbocharged cars, I believe most 
Hondas, since their first fuel injected applications, will read 
pressures higher than atmospheric.  This not from personal experience, 
but from the fact that people who add a turbo to their Honda and keep 
the factory injection end up needing to install a check valve in the MAP 
sensor line to keep the ECM from getting stupid when the boost arrives.  
I haven't any idea how much range one would have, but they're cheap and 
plentiful enough that testing won't be hard on the wallet.
