Yeah - that WOULD suck. But my car hasn't had this problem before.  Even 
when it was in its worst LIMP mode - the time I blew out a cylinder at the 
track and drove it home, it still communicated with the data aldl port and 
my laptop. I just don't know what type of problem would cause it to not even 
register anything on the data port as well as stay in llimp mode.
