The way I heard it was that the reason Brits drink warm beer us  that Lucas
makes refrigerators.  I think it's because beer tastes better when served
about 45?F.  But ymmv.  Happy new year all!

I worked in a parts house for a while where we handled some Lucas electrical
parts. One customer informed me that he was looking for non-Lucas branded
parts, because (as he put it) 'Lucas invented darkness'.
