[Diy_efi] TPI Question

"They are not interchangeable." No. Each application uses it's own code. The bin must match the code. The TPI 7730 is normally a $8d code and the 7747 is a $42 code. You can't run one bin with another code.If you want a 5.7 TPI bin I have some, including the AUJP. It was the most popular bin back in the day and was hacked pretty good. To include several versions of a super AUJP.IIRC there are MAF and MAP versions also.

But the question is can they be reprogrammed with a 7730 bin?

So, I did come up with these codes being 5.7L truck engine codes. Will any of these work for a 7730 ECM? I think I have an ANLZ at home if I remember right. Or are they all the same sockets on other ECM's? Sorry, I am still learning some of this.

I would be happy to erase and reprogram one for
you, if you have a V8 one!

I beleive I have already a copy of the AUJP
program.

So, I guess the next question, if you can find a stock memcal
to use, which ones will work? Any standard numbers that I could
use? And if I can get one, would anyone on the list be up to flashing
one for me to get back up and running until I can pick up a
programmer?

    Since
the original sized / pinned chip is getting difficult to find new, I use
these to use a larger chip.

Subject: [Diy_efi] TPI Question

Since joining this list over a year ago, I think I had
only seen one email until the past week. So, I am going to re-ask a
question I asked a while back that I really didn't get any response
    to.

I have a 91 Tuned Port Injection setup from a Firebird that I
installed on my 87 Mustang GT that I drag race with a 355 small block in
it. I was running a stock AUJP chip that a friend of mine had, but he
needed it back a few months ago (since they are getting hard to find).
Anyway, what I am wondering is if there is a way to program another chip
with the AUJP code, or anything better to run a TPI system with? I
have seen that people have reprogrammed some of the V6 chips with the AUJP
code on Ebay, but wonder if they actually will work right.
    Thanks!

Mike
