I thnk your confusing the output Vs the input, the output EST singal is the
same in any case. A rectangular signal that uses the falling edge to do the
deed.

Obviously the input to the DIS assembly needs the extra phasing information
that would not be present in a reluctor signal. The DRP information varies,
see a shop manual for specific's
