Hi Dave,
that's worth a double-check..  The GPs of that era,  
I've seen in the yards, have an underhood (weatherproof)
 ECM, which corresponds with my book that shows it to have
a 1227727 ecm, which also exists under 16197128.
AFAIK, the 7148 is not available as an underhood unit.
