Suction through a unpowered Tank Pump.

OK, got some time to look through the shop manual. What Jon wrote
below is most likely true. (I just needed some place to hook into
this thread).

On a '92 Camaro/Firebird, the tpi intank pump is a roller vane
design. I believe that this is a positive displacment pump, and
you can't draw through it. (Unless of course your mad max)

The TBI pump, on the other hand is a twin-turbine design. It's
also a lower pressure pump. This design can most likely be drawn
through...
