Car dieing when put under load

Sounds like an IAC to me Roger. If you can verify it is at fault, follow this 
routine when replacing it. After removal inspect the pintle seat for a good 
seal and not being cocked in the bore. Clean out the bore for the IAC and the 
throttle body while you're at it. There are numerous cleaners specifically 
for this purpose. Retract the new pintle out from its stored position, not 
too much as to have it jam on install. Note: on used IAC's this may not be 
free enough to do. Turn the key on engine off and ground out the ALDL A&B 
terminals to force the IAC to bottom out. Remove the jumper and start up the 
engine. It may be necessary to drive over 40 MPH to fully learn the new 
IAC position.
