Has anyone tried those mechanical antl-lock brakes??? Looks like a shock
absorber for the brake line (pressure).

Yes it is just a pressure acumulator, not at all what they claim.  GM 
actually did test one set and just proved intuition is right, the 
acumulators are worthless.

If you always needed just a single brake pressure they might work, but 
necessary brake pressures change with loading, brake pad temp, roadway 
surface, ect. so they don't work.  Incidently your master cylinder is 
typically sized for failure of a split of your brake system.  With this 
accumulator installed you may not be able to generate enough enough brake 
pressure to reach FMVSS105 (Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard 105) 
decelleration for a single pressure leak.  This could make you liable in an 
accident.
