749 in a 749 - troubles

This is going to sound really stupid, but try a slower chip, say, in the
200ns area.  I shoved in a 200ns eeprom into my 749 and it booted, and
gave me catastrophic system failure errors on diacom - which was fine
because it wasn't connected to any sensors, injectors, or anything
else.  But, I got valid panic codes, so it was a good thing.
