yeah - i was the one that experimented with the wierd harold AMC sensor.
When I went to autozone after getting the ungodly prices from GM I compared 
the bosch equivalent of the afs74 and the ford sensor.  The actual sensor is 
the same and has the same number on the shell.  The only difference was the 
gm weather pack or ford connector.  GM hookup 48.99 ford 37.99.
