Has anybody tried not hooking up the coolant passeges on the 90-91 TPI
setup. Chevrolet says they do to avoid icing in cold weather, but I
always tried to keep the intake air as cool as possible. I've seen
icing on my old '48 chevy straight 6, though it never seemed to cause a
problem, but I was wondering about giving the IAC a headache.
Also does the ECM check for the vats at startup and then forget it. In
other words if the key fell out going down the road would the motor die?
I came up with a little frequency generator to bypass it but am not
sure how stable it will be with fluctuating temps. Does anybody know
the acceptable freq spread?
Thanks,
