Further investigation now shows it is a 36 pin socket, not as I said before.
Chips on the board worth mentioning are -

U9 - 16202476 - 68pin SMD
U10 - 5474DD71, 66285, 466 - 68pin SMD
U13 - 16172449 - 68pin SMD
U20 - 609, 039Q949, FP00571 Symbios Logic 728 - 52pin SMD (Some pins on this
go to the inj driver transistors, only 6 and provision for no more).
U15 - 16132083 - 28pin SMD

There is plenty more but these I guess are the real important ones.
