MEMCAL failure

 It's something I've wondered about.

 Some EPROM manufacturers listed a 10-year service life for their
products.  I came across a reference in the old comp.risks archives from
1988; someone had had a number of terminals made in 1978 start having
troubles, and found the EPROMS were going bad.

 I don't know if this is still a problem or not.
