Again, for the lack of anything better to do. I was poking around the 747
ecm with a probe/scope, and made the following observations, that I thought
I'd share with you. This was again of the ecm bench, so when I mention
something changed, ie TPS, all other parameters are constant, unless
specificlly mentioned as changed.
Increasing rpm, just changed the frequency of the injectors firing rate, not
duration, as I was able to measure, if at all was only a slight amount.
Increasing MAP, slowly, (ie 40 K/Pa to 90 K/Pa), slightly increased the
dwell time.
Sudden MAP changes like the above added accleration enrichment pulses.
Faster yet changes seemed to add even more pulses.
The addition pulses quickly decayed.
TPS when slowlyyyyyyy increased, made no change in anything.
Quicker changes, *added* addition pulses for accleration enrichment!.
Fast changes seemed to add even more pulses.
The accleration enrichment quickly decayed.
On the 747's the accleration enrichment is an addition injector pulse
strategy,
not a injector pulse lenghting duration strategy.
