I wonder....

If the shift is stable, and the new higher flow rate doesn't change any
more...
perhaps a recalibration of the EPROM to account for the extra flow would
cure the over rich problem.

If nothing else, it would be a much easier fix, and opens up the possibility
of adding additional fuel if the VE was improved through better cam, heads,
headers or whatever.
