FWIW, when playing with Honda 750s years ago had to use a little over 1/8"
tubing to tie the IR together to help even out the idle some.
If you wind up having to R+R the pintles, get a stepper motor
experimenters kit like from Blackhawk, and use a larger timing cap on the
555. That little nylon
anti-rotation device won't take much abuse.

| Well, at least I have half a dozen IAC steppers to tinker with. I made
| an adapter the other day to mount the IAC where the barrel valve was on
| the Hilborn. Now I have to finish the plumbing underneath, where the
| runners all get tied together for the IAC. I've agonized over the
| tubing size, trying to guesstimate the minimum size for sufficient
| vacuum vs. the size where I'd start getting crosstalk between the ports,
| finally said to hell with it and decided to use 1/4 inch tubing.
