I once went thru this (Syclone also).  The Buick guys have a different ESC
system (Electronic Spark Control) than we do; it can be tapped for a
signal.  The ESC board in our ECUs is in the Memcal, that clear goop
covered board next to the PROM.  There's probably the signal there you're
looking for, but AFAIK, nobody's done anything on getting it out to a
display.  I use a MSD knock sensor, works well, is accurate.  I also have a
laptop displaying knock retard as a bargraph, the two correlate well.
