Mallory Fuel Regulator

Is anyone out there familiar with the Mallory 3-port , return style
regulator? (#4309).

My question is: Can it be used in an efi setup where it regulates
the pressure upstream? Such as a replacement for a TBI
regulator. (hope this makes sense) It would be setup as
a two port reg. Inlet is from the injectors (to be regulated),
and the outlet is back (return line), to the tank.

They show it's use as regulating it's output, with efi/carb
dead-ended off it's output (not what I want).
