-> Why copper?

 The copper is ductile enough to deform under gasket load.  Some people
use stainless steel wire or MIG wire, which is very hard.  It's hard
enough to dent the cylinder head on the other side of the gasket, for
example, and the lump in the gasket can warp the head when you torque it
down.


-> Do, you go like with, .025" wire in a .025" groove .020" deep?.

 Pretty close.

 I dream of Wills rings, though.
