ACXS1088 = broadcast code

Interesting, you should have seen 69300 on the EPROM someplace. That's
GM's code for a 27C128. Perhaps your MEMCAL is so old it uses an NMOS 27128.

16055375, 16055376 = limp home calibration.  See:
  http://www.cruzers.com/~ludis/calxref.html
8631, 8634 = made in the 31st and 34th weeks of 1986

35006 = the plastic shell. Most (newer) MEMCALs use 68767, though I
can't see any difference.

Probably serial numbers. Looks like you have three people's junk - or
the innocent victim of three parts swappers.

Part number for the cover?

7-7165 = Yes, you should have a 1227165. GM didn't reman your ECM,
"ASE" did.

> Printed on the circuit board:

Circuit board artwork numbers.

> 34987, 34988, 1088-8

16034980 = MPU
16045148 = timer chip
34985 = ALDL signal driver/receiver
34986 = limp home controller
34987 = O2 amplifier
34988 = AtoD
52444 = I/O buffer

185 = I think this means that Motorola made those chips
466 = Probably Delco Electronics
014 = National Semiconductor?
980 = Texas Instruments?

Jumper wire, yup. You've got yourself an _old_ '165. The 52444 also
means an old ECM.
