I dont think the SFI is there for mileage, but more accurate fuel delivery. 
You can see this (I believe) when monitoring scan tool data. a GN's idle PW 
will be just over 3mS where a PFI will be 2.xmS. I think since its a batch 
fire design, they scale PW down so as to not flood the motor and/or wash the 
cyls. I have a ECM here from a Park Ave that I posted a ? about awhile ago 
that supposedly will support 5psi of boost. Is it possible through the map 
sensor that most ECM's will support a moderate amount of boost?
