I've got a Compucam 2050, 216/228, .454/.480, and 107/117 LC in my 305. I
have to screw down the idle air control on the feedback carb to get it to
idle pretty smooth at 750 rpm in gear. I have a stock converter too, a
little higher stall say 2000 or so would surely help. It's got plenty of
pep in the low end for everyday driving I think. I would retard it 2
degrees next time since the 305 heads aren't really rpm happy. Sounds nice
though.
