You wouldn't perhaps be trying to find the rev limiter in the PROM?

A friend keeps calling every other day saying "I need more power, have
you found the limit yet?"  I haven't found it yet, but here's what I've
found so far (91-93 PROMs):

RAM:
 $0199:$019A  RPM (in revolutions per minute)
 $019B:$019C  Previous RPM sample

I/O:
 $3FC0:$3FC1  Ignition reference interval (in seconds/65536)

PROM:
 $8858:$8859  Fuel cutoff RPM for automatic in neutral (3000 RPM)
 $885A:$885B  Fuel cutin RPM for automatic in neutral (2999 RPM)
