I shot that last post to the list accidentally, I intended it to go
directly to Bruce. I'm new to the GMECM list, been on the DIY_EFI list for
over a year now.

I recently completed implementation of a 1988 GM TPI (MAF) system in a 1982
Chevrolet Camaro platform. I know, not a real challenge but I went out of
my way to make it look and function as a factory installation. Bought a
1988 GTA wreck and picked it clean, moving all the harnesses and chassis
fuel lines into the '82 platform. If anyone needs copies of my
documentation on C100 (firewall) and C207 (under-dash) pinouts, I put it
all into Excel sheets and would be glad to share.

Recent 1/4mile testing at Englishtown yielded a 13.991sec best, with
problems keeping traction on takeoff and during shifting. Plenty of room
for improvement in the drivetrain, but my scantool also showed O2 counts
dipping into the 800s at high RPMs indicating a lean condition. Using an
equation from the TPI Swappers Guide, I determined I was probably close to
exceeding 80% duty cycle on 22lb/hr injectors. I procured a set of
lightly-used GM LT1 24lb/hour injectors, installed them and couldn't get
the engine to idle in open-loop mode.

Having ruled out vacuum leaks, and having a platform that ran fine with the
22lb injectors, it looks like I am overdelivering fuel in open-loop mode.
Problem is I'm running Howell microcode based on 1987 system, not sure how
to open it up (a friend has TerryK's GMEPro but says he can only look at
1989 binaries) and look at open-loop parameters and fuel injector sizes to
see why it's acting up.

Sooo...if anyone has a tool that can browse settings on an 1987 F-Body
binary...I'd love to take a look. I don't need to modify anything, just
need to diagnose the behavior of the engine.

Any help appreciated, any info I can share on TPI swapping give a shout.
